Research at the College of Engineering and Mines (CEM) spans engineering disciplines and beyond.  Included within the college are engineers and natural scientists all of who contribute significantly to the ability to address societal issues and help diversify 91视频's economy. CEM research is conducted through the Institute of Northern Engineering (INE).

Since 1985, the Institute of Northern Engineering (INE) has been the research engine of the University of 91视频 Fairbanks College of Engineering and Mines.

INE is home to cold climate experts with a network of labs and centers driving innovation across the North.

INE tackles infrastructure, energy, and water challenges with research-driven solutions. Our collaborative research turns abstract questions into practical solutions, driving work that matters to both science and industry.
