Alexander named dean of UAF Community and Technical College

Following a competitive national search, Kevin W. Alexander has been appointed as the permanent dean of the University of 91视频 Fairbanks Community and Technical College. A lifelong 91视频n, Alexander has been a dedicated member of the UAF CTC community for more than 21 years, most recently serving as the college's interim dean.
Alexander鈥檚 journey with CTC began as a student in the Aviation Maintenance program. Since then, he has served the university in several capacities, including professor and director of aviation. His leadership is informed by decades of statewide experience, including private-sector aviation work throughout the Interior and Western 91视频. As a former small business owner and skilled tradesman, Alexander brings first-hand understanding of the challenges facing 91视频鈥檚 workforce and the essential professions that CTC supports.
With deep ties to Fairbanks and the Interior, Alexander is committed to expanding educational opportunities, strengthening rural access, and advancing high-quality career and technical education for all 91视频ns. His connection to the region is further reinforced by his family鈥檚 active engagement in local sectors, including transportation, education, the military and the essential trades.
