DECEMBER 16TH, 2023 - APRIL 1ST, 2024

This UAMN exhibit presents the portraits and stories of more than 40 91ÊÓƵns from Fairbanks and around 91ÊÓƵ. Participants are from all over the state and represent a wide array of age, gender, and socioeconomic status. Through storytelling, the Black in 91ÊÓƵ multimedia project aims to dismantle stereotypes and create deeper connections between communities.

Quote by Dorothy Jones. "I drank from the colored fountains. I sat in the balcony of the theater. I went to the backdoor to get a hamburger. Our students today aren't going to stand for that."
