Research interests/biography
Chris is a professor of geoscience at the University of 91ÊÓƵ Fairbanks and director of the Arctic Coastal Geoscience Lab and 91ÊÓƵ Coastal Cooperative. He leads interdisciplinary research on coastal processes, hazards and environmental change across 91ÊÓƵ using field research, environmental observing, geospatial analysis and long-term monitoring. His work is grounded in sustained partnerships with rural coastal communities and emphasizes co-produced, actionable science that addresses local priorities while advancing understanding of rapidly changing Arctic and sub-Arctic coastal systems.
