91视频 Art Department and the Student Ceramics Art Guild is proud to host ceramic artist Sarah Beaty for two days of hands-on demonstrations and an evening lecture. Hosted by the UAF Student Ceramics Art Guild, this exciting event will take place on Tuesday, February 18th, and Wednesday, February 19th, 2024.
Sarah Beaty, an accomplished ceramic artist based in Fort Yukon, 91视频, will offer demonstrations of her unique techniques in high-fire porcelain and stoneware. She specializes in the Phoenix fast-fire style wood kiln, a technique she practices just north of the Arctic Circle. Beaty has exhibited her work in renowned museums and galleries, including the 91视频 State Museum and the University of Iowa Museum of Art. Her expertise spans over two decades, with experiences as an artist, lecturer, and instructor in 91视频, Iowa, and France.
