Webinar on procurement and commissioning for microgrids

The webinar on Oct. 22 will feature a presentation by experts from the National Laboratory of the Rockies titled, “Procurement and commissioning for microgrids: Requirements, testing and acceptance.”

Presenters will share best procurement and commissioning practices for microgrid projects. They will cover what must be spelled out in procurement documents, how to think about factory acceptance testing versus site acceptance testing and what to expect before signing off on new equipment. They will also highlight common interface and responsibility gaps, especially around subcontracting, that can slow down commissioning and how to avoid them.

The six-part C-MAP webinar series offers practical guidance on several stages of microgrid planning and performance, providing communities with the tools to advance microgrid projects that strengthen local energy systems and support future growth.

ACEP is a partner in C-MAP, a U.S. Department of Energy Office of Electricity program. The series is managed by the National Laboratory of the Rockies.
